Happy New Year and Happy Sky to all of you! Thank you to each one of you for reading my blog in 2013. It’s been a great year for me and I grew more and more in love with myLittleAstrology. I have spent some weeks putting together the story of 2014 for each Sun Sign and now here it is. I really hope it is going to be helpful. I have written about the most important astrological influences of the year. These are designed to help you make great decisions in the year ahead.

Sagittarius 2014 – finish up major projects

Dear Sagittarius, this is your general description of the Green Wood Horse, 2014. For you, this year will be about finishing up major projects and take extra care of your money. The general trend for the year 2014 is relationships. This is a year where we create relations or we just get rid of the ones that are not doing any good to our lives. We are ready to struggle for the relations that are good for us and we are ready to forget all about the people that are not right. This year we take action and make decisions, we don’t plan; we just feel what we should do. Not all decisions must be based on instinct, but this is the general trend. Venus and Mars are 2 very important planets in the year of the Green Wood Horse and these are both retrograde at the start of the year and that is why we have to be careful in anything we do in our relations. Your planet, Jupiter is also retrograde for the first 2 months of this year and that means a low profile, some diet will be good, stay at home and use this time to rest.

Venus is now very powerful and Venus is retrograde till the 31st of January and for you that means you have to be careful in all relations concerning money giving or receiving from relatives or from work. Evaluate things and don’t rush into anything at the start of the year. It is clear by now that you need more money because something happened in your life. Learn something new to earn money. Be careful on spending a lot of money and try to think about your resources. You will concentrate around relationships with banks, taxes, debts, financial advisers, loans, and investments. Mars is also going to retrograde at the start of this year in March, April and May 2014 and that is a sign of going to the negotiations room and not to war. Mars is forcing you to play it safe; you may be forced to stay calm at the start of the year. Scale back on your big dreams now and learn a little patience. Support is forthcoming.

Decisive action brings victory in a year like this one. That goes for the major changes this year. These are given by the 4 eclipses that we have in our astrological chart. Eclipses in 2014 for you will mean changing the way you see relations with friends and associations. Some new friends will decide to help you in many ways and this support is very well received. This will be happening in April 2014. The October 2014 eclipses will make you spend more time with your children, be happy near your family and plan for a child if you don’t have one already.

Jupiter is the planet that brings expansion, blessings, optimism and prosperity. Jupiter is in Cancer and that means it highlights house of intimacy, sexuality and money that comes from others. Sexuality is richer. There can be benefits coming your way through others, whether it’s money, you have an easier time getting loans. Take care of the money that comes from others because they are very important at this time. Also, this is the best year to get rid of debt that is hanging around. Try to do so because Jupiter is a partner when it comes to debts. Note that this cycle is going to last till July 2014. After July, Jupiter will move in Leo and that will be a great plus for belief systems, learning experiences, and hunger for adventure. Some of you may update their skills or pursue higher education. You are coming close to a peak period for career and recognition that begins in middle of the year 2015. This is also a favorable time for publishing, promotion, travel, language learning, teaching, religious activities, sports, competition, outdoors adventures.

Saturn has entered Scorpio on the 5th of October 2012 and will stay there till the 17th of September 2015. Scorpio rules your solar chart that relates to spirituality, imagination and experiment. If you have a problem you need to go deep and search for that problem to reveal. You can concentrate on your health and make sure to have it checked. Saturn sweeps through your life and demands that you take a hard look at what’s been hiding in there. You must solve unsolved problems that you have. You have to leave everything behind you and try to find better ways to live in the future. Saturn is telling you that a cycle on your life is ending now and you have to be prepared for that end.

Love a Sagittarius?

I am writing this on the first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Today, on the 21st of December is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year and the longest night. This day officially heralds the beginning of winter. I am not fond of winter, but this time of year I have a lot of plans on my mind and a lot of things to do. Now, let’s talk business. The Sun is still in Sagittarius and I took the time to write about this crazy, whimsical little Sun Sign. I have already written one post about this sign and the best profession they can have and called it: Sagittarius: myCalling,myCareer.

Sagittarius is a sign of luck, smartness and high hopes, also the sign of religion, spirituality and philosophy. They are the ones that take us above the mundane and keep us up there. Sagittarius, the ninth sign of the zodiac has the lucky planet Jupiter as the ruler. Jupiter was King of the Gods and maybe because of this Sagittarius has its particular royal aura. They are usually happy and very sharp people and they love a good party. They love to talk and tell stories and as I said they make very well received film directors. They are able to see the big picture faster than others and they can keep things simple and logical. They seek the meaning of life, but they are free and light while doing this; that makes them great friends and lovely people to be around. Sagittarius people are excellent conversationalists with a good sense of humor. Sagittarius are also known for saying the ‘painful truth’ when you least expect. Sagittarians are always planning for the future, thinking about tomorrow with great enthusiasm.

Sagittarius is usually presented by a Centaur. This is a mythological creature with the head, arms, and torso of a human and the body and legs of a horse. They represent the struggle between moderation and excess, belief and unbelief, god and beast. The story tells that Chiron was the Centaur known for his exceptional kindness and wisdom.

Sagittarius has Fire as its element and this is similar to Aries and Leo. Just as a fire can move quickly and uncontrollably, Sagittarius can win any mental race with fast thinking and a lot of action. They usually don’t look back and can see the future in very bright colors. They are often athletic and full of stamina. Sagittarians are straight forward folks who are curious and true believers. They have a lot of energy and usually they have to direct their energy into higher causes. They are fighters and they like to make the world a better place. So, they make great partners, but how are they in love and relationship?

Love a Sagittarius Woman? It is so easy to fall for this lady: she is charming, elegant, fun loving, adventurous and idealistic. Sagittarius woman in love is honest and trustworthy and loves to learn new things. Pay attention though: the more she learns and experiences new things, the happier she is. She is very open minded woman seeking the truth or fighting for her cause. You have to be as free and open as she is or you will not stand a chance! She needs to be free and independence is very important to her. Don’t put this woman in front of a clear schedule as she will probably hate it and will not agree to it. She probably loves her work and work probably involves a lot of travel and learning about new things and new cultures. Sagittarian women enjoy a variety of physical experiences, so a lover who is both artistic and creative would suit them best. You have to keep up! She wants a partner who is a mental and physical equal and will not settle for less. She is not particular keen on marriage as that will probably make her feel locked.

Love a Sagittarius Man? This man is the eternal traveler. He likes fun and games and he seeks Truth, Beauty and Wisdom of life. He has lots of friends around him and loves to hang out and chat about millions things. He is open minded and a clear logical thinker. He is playful, flirtatious, and always in control. He is also an enthusiastic listener, who will absorb what you have to say. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, which means that they enjoy puzzles. Make him have to figure you out and don’t reveal everything about you in a blink of an eye. Be mysterious if you want a Sagittarius man, but always tell the truth as this is what he appreciates more in life. Sagittarius is forever seeking for the woman that shares his dreams and loves to travel around the world. He is not going to be the husband that stays at home. He wants and needs freedom, life, adventure and happiness. He is neither jealous nor possessive and he will let you live a free life. He loves sports and competition, so you will probably find him together with his boys at a football match. Fiery in bed, the Sagittarius man is an accomplished and incredible lover!

Sagittarius: myCalling, myCareer

This is the first post on a series called myCalling, myCareer and these posts will focus on the life path or job that you should take depending on your Sun Sign. And the should in the last sentence is carefully chosen. Just treat this as a fun advice and never settle for a job, have a career, a life path.

Let’s take this serious now and talk about Sagittarius, the zodiac sign of this time of the year. Lovely one, happy, lively, fun, always a little crazy and above all very very creative and unique. Sagittarians have a positive outlook on life, are full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend everything in their lives. If you have a true Sagittarius friend, you know what I mean! I personally love them and especially like working with them as they are very dedicated and always put a lot of effort into their work. What is Sagittarius good at? Well, in any give line of work they will be very dedicated with a condition – they must love what they do. They balance loyalty with independence and the result is a remarkable one! They love reaching many people and enjoy disseminating ideas, storytelling and opening issues for discussion…Now, I have to introduce you to some Sagittarius men:

Walt Disney

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.

First on my list is Walt Disney; he was born on the 5^th of December and that makes him a full Sagittarius. He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world. The corporation is now known as The Walt Disney Company and had an annual revenue of approximately US$36 billion in 2010. Walt Disney won 22 Academy Awards during his life time, created Mickey Mouse and founded the theme parks Disneyland and Walt Disney World. You also know him from Pinocchio, Bambi, Dumbo, Donald Duck, Goofy or Pluto. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first full-length animated film. It produced an unimaginable $1.499 million, in spite of the Great Depression, and won a total of 8 Oscars. Walt also became one of the first producers of films to venture into television, with his series Disneyland and had as a masterpiece the prolific musical fantasy Mary Poppins.

Steven Spielberg

When I grow up, I still want to be a director.

He started making film at the age 12 and he was so passionate about it that everybody noticed him. He became one of the youngest television directors for Universal in the late 1960s. Steven Spielberg was born on the 18^th of December and that makes him a true Sagittarius. Intelligent and ambitious, the Sagittarius men are extremely goal-oriented! So was Mister Spielberg! He went on to become the enormously successful and Academy Award-winning director of such films as Schindler’s List, The Color Purple, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial and Saving Private Ryan. The Holocaust drama Schindler’s List is about a businessman who helps save Jews and won 7 Academy Awards, including Spielberg’s first win as Best Director. He accepted no money for his work on Schindler’s List, and instead donated his salary to a foundation that helps the remembrance of the Holocaust of World War II. The New York Times said Steven Spielberg was the most commercially successful filmmaker in Hollywood history.

Woody Allen

Eighty percent of success is showing up.

Gifted with an amazing sense of humor, the true Sagittarius can make almost anyone smile. Woody Allen has as a hallmark a bizarre sense of humor and we all love him for that. He was born on the 1^st of December and that makes him a full Sagittarius. He is the quintessential New Yorker, seemingly full of neuroses and self-doubt. He is an American film director, screenwriter, actor and author who is best known for his romantic comedy films containing elements of parody. Allen has been nominated 23 times and won 4 Academy Awards. Allen’s career breakthrough came with Annie Hall. Manhattan was his homage to his beloved New York City and a great film! He is one of the most prolific American directors of his generation; he has directed a film just about every year since 1969.

Ridley Scott

Life isn’t black and white. It’s a million gray areas, don’t you find?

Sagittarius is a mutable sign, they are the chameleons of each element, able to shift into many forms, and take on different personas, they are not strict and they do not see only black and white. Ridley Scott is born on the 30th of November in the North East of England and he is that kind of a Sagittarius. You know him as the director of Thelma & Louise, Alien, Gladiator, American Gangster or the last one I saw was The Counselor. In 2003, Ridley Scott was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for his “services to the British film industry” and now we should call him Sir Ridley Scott.

And what I found out was that one of the best life paths for you Sagittarius is being a film director!

When Sagittarius meets Capricorn

…and Ari Onassis said: “Battista, Battista, I’ve come to marry your wife.”

This post is dedicated to a great love story between 2 of the most famous Greeks on the planet: Maria Callas and Aristotle Onassis. There will be magic, blood, love, fire and of course, drama. My kind of story!

Maria Callas was born on the 2^nd of December and that makes her a full crazy Sagittarius, the sign that we celebrate all month on myLittleAstrology. She was of a Greek origin and born in New York and had a grand voice. It is said that she was one of the most renowned and influential opera singers of the 20th century. As a child, she was clumsy and unpopular, but she was able to make extra money out of her lovely voice. She had a sad childhood that ended up in her parents deteriorating marriage and divorce. As a student she proved to be fanatical, uncompromising and dedicated to her studies heart and soul. Her progress was phenomenal. She studied five or six hours a day with no effort. In a very short time, she became La Divina.

Aristotle Socrates Onassis was born on the 20^th of January and that makes him a Capricorn, a sign of ambition, career and extreme wealth and power, exactly the way he was. The son of a Greek merchant in the Turkish port of Smyrna, he made his fortune importing tobacco to Argentina and having a shipping business in New York.

She was 35 years old and she had been married to the elderly Battista Meneghini for ten years now. He was 51 and he wanted to have Maria from the first moment he saw her. He pursued her relentlessly. Maria started receiving huge bunch of red roses with good wishes in Greek, signed Aristotle Onassis.

Two years later, in the Mediterranean, Onassis seduced Maria on the yacht Christina, despite being married at the time to Tina Livanos (who, like Callas’s husband, was on the yacht at the moment).At one time, Ari went to Maria’s house and said “Battista, Battista, I’ve come to marry your wife.” The lovers divorced their spouses and embarked on a tempestuous affair that lasted until Onassis’s death, but Maria and Aristotle never married. When Onassis was dying, he took his last gift from Maria, a red Hermès blanket, to the hospital with him. He died alone. Maria Callas died, heartbroken, 2 years later.

Compatibility between Sagittarius and Capricorn? Well, by all means no! Sagittarius and Capricorn are true and exact opposites: Sagittarius is easy going, always jumps headfirst into new things, and is typically impatient and a little crazy. Capricorn is detail-oriented and ambitious, and is always looking toward the next project or the next big business of his.

The good thing? They can learn a lot from each other: Sagittarius can show Capricorn adventure and can offer a glimpse of the freedom; Capricorn teaches Sagittarius to pay attention to details, uncovers the knowledge that the little things are important. Sagittarius is a Fire Sign and Capricorn is an Earth Sign. Sagittarius initiates projects after a philosophical evaluation, while Capricorn takes more practical, factual approach and starts a business. Sagittarius is not a very good leader, but when Sagittarius has a good idea he just wants to contribute to it. Sagittarius enjoys doing their part in the job. Capricorn, on the other hand, comes up with the ideas and assigns roles to others. He is the leader and sees where this good idea is going in about 10 years from now. So, they go well together as there is no conflict in their roles.

Sagittarius and Capricorn are very different, but with great effort, they can have a happy life together.
